Approved by the American Bar Association, the Paralegal program prepares the student for the intermediary position between the legal secretary and the attorney, with a job role under the supervision of a US attorney. The classes offered provide an overview of the paralegal profession as well as the responsibilities and opportunities for paralegals in various practice areas. Students are taught the stages of civil procedure, from pleadings and discovery through preparing for and presenting evidence at the trial. A unique experiential learning experience offers them an opportunity to conduct legal research, analyses, draft legal documents, and utilize legal technology.
